What is a TPS Sensor?
Hey, I just picked up a 92' MX-3 and was reading something about some TPS Sensor. What is it? and what purpose does it serve? Thanks

Re: What is a TPS Sensor?
Mounted on the carburetor or throttle body, the throttle position sensor (TPS) provides throttle opening information to the ignition (and fuel injection system if equipped). TPS information is used to adjust the ignition to the best timing for the riding situation.<p>[ January 19, 2002: Message edited by: Custommx3 ]
