I haven't done much since picking it up a couple weeks ago. just basic maintenance things mostly.
I just want to enjoy till winter, and plan for next spring.

- Lubed up sunroof for smooth operation
- Alignment
- Replaced spectre air filter
- removed a couple stickers
- removed subs for now. For weight reduction and I already have a car with subs.
- installed TWM shortshifter. I wasn't in love with the throw of the modified one.
there is still more left to right slop then I like in gear, I will address that soon.
- in the process of deleting the A/C system as It is non functional and heavy.

There will be more to come, I've got big (but realistic) plans for it down the road.
I am very grateful to have inherited it from mx3_ryder, his vision for it was perfect.
And I will make him proud! :)

Stay posted!

Yeah it was like 180$ with the promo code.
And no turbo. That would be sweet though!
I'm planning a high revving N.A. build.
Maybe a little jesus juice too :freak:

Nice shifter Ben!! I didn't really care much for the shorter stk. shifter either... Must be night and day.
My Jeep project went alittle sour, so I picked up an 04 GMC Envoy last Friday for the wife.
Great work getting the sunroof working smoothly.
Goes to show I just didn't have the time for her anymore-sadly, but shes in good hands now!! I'll peak in every know and then so keep the updates coming.

A little progress in the last couple weeks

-Cruise control delete
-Speed limiter removed
-And most importantly :P A nice new steering wheel!

As of today, I have sold my 95 rs
I'll miss the ol girl :crying: but this car will make it alright.

I sold it for 1000$, and am putting that money into the smurf.
I am about to pull the trigger on the megasquirt PNP ecu. I think that is the
best all around mod. Then whatever path I go from here, I will be able to
fine tune it. Any thoughts on what you guys would do from here? And on the megasquirt?

Updates! I've been trying to pull everything together before storing her for the winter (this Monday).
I'm already sick of working on her in 27 degree weather but anyways. My goals for the end of this year are to have a megasquirt, wideband, and custom maf/vaf-less CAI installed. I can then tune it next summer, and then build from there.

Here are the goodies :D

PNP megasquirt from stratified:

Innovate wideband LC2 with gauge:

Also here is my coolant tank relocation for the CAI:

The wideband and custom CAI will be installed in the next couple days.
I'll post up pics of my custom CAI then. A local shop in town does amazing
welding and metal fab for this type of thing. I think you guy's will like it.

So now the bad news...
I am having some difficulties with my megasquirt. It definitely hasn't been PNP.
Some settings or hardware aren't configured correctly. The car runs like crap, and won't
rev above 2300 amongst other things. I'm currently working with the Stratified guys to figure it out.

In the mean time I will have to run my old intake setup. But oh well. I have all winter to figure out the megasquirt.

peace!

-Ben

Custom Cold Air Intake 8) Made by Kale's Custom in my hometown.
If anyone else with a megasquirt wants a perfect fitting CAI with minimal
restrictions let me know!

The ol girl is offically going up for winter today. Gonna rinse off the underbody for any premature road salting. And she's gonna live under cover till spring. I wish I had a heated garage to tinker on her year round. Oh well.
I think the HEI mod might be next. My megasquirt issues seem to be related to the disty. So this upgrade will also rule that out,
and hopefully get me squirting for spring. Updates will be slow for a while.
