control arm ball joint

Post by Mradio »

anyone has had a problem with those? both of mine are gone (ball joint dust boot is gone),it's all cracked up; and the car drives terrible over speed bumps and cracks in the road. Here is the question: do I have to change the whole ball joint , or I can just change that dust boot?<BR>anyone has any input on this?

if i go over speed bump real slow I can't hear it, but when I drive over any bump at speeds above 5mph I can hear pounding noise, like 2 pieces of metal hit each other, plus when I corner and drive over a bump I can feel the front chassis shift a little. It's had to explain, this is the best I can do.
