I just saw the strangest thing...

Post by Inodoro Pereyra »

I was just walking in Buenos Aires, and saw a car I've never seen before. Now, I don't have a camera, but I looked it up online, and here it is:

It's a Mazda 323 F. Has anybody seen it before? :?

Well, yes, for what I read it's available in Europe.
I've never been a fan of the 323 at all, but I honestly think this version is hideous.

Oddly enough, I like it a lot better than the Millenia, 626, and other 4 door Mazdas...

It reminds me of a Nissan 300ZX in a way, I can't really explain why, but it does.

I saw about 15 of these in the junkyard I went to in the Netherlands. They are very common in Europe. Some of them have the KF 2.0 V6 motor. It's also known as the Astina or Astina GT in Australia.

I actually think it's pretty ugly too. But it has nice spindles and all four hubs swap straight into MX-3 spindles and they have 5 lugs.

Yep there is white one around here, decently low on black multispoke 17" alloys and the rear spats plus tinted windows it looks spot on imo.
It would a nice 5dr to own if one ever had to have one.

Yep they are pretty sweet IMO. They were only available in North America for a short time and in Canada only. :( There are a lot of little options available for them like there are for the MX.

Mazda of Canada sold the Lantis?

Why haven't I heard this previously? Would have been simpler than modifying Probe spindles...

Well, I'm glad you guys like it.
Now, it's nothing new that I don't like 4 door coupes, if nothing else, because they make no sense. "Coupe" comes from the French "coupé", meaning "cut", and what's cut is precisely the two rear doors, and the trunk. So a 4 door coupe is BS, IMO.
Other than that, I think this particular model looks like a wannabe Toyota Corolla with sport car pretentions. It's boxy, pretty much shapeless. Not even the headlights are pretty. I would get a crashed and crushed Millennia over this car, anytime.

But that's just me...

Only the actual Lantis and 323F 2.0L had the super spindles...and we didn't get either one.
