[Problem] Steering, help?

Post by lpeixoto »

Hello guys,

My hydraulic steering is making a strange noise when I turn either way, even if the car is stopped. (Tec, tec, tec) does anyone know what can be?

I wanted to bleed the fluid, does anyone know where i do that?

thank you

Actually it sounds like you may have a bearing going out. The power steering shouldn't really be making noise.
Have a friend help you, get under the hood and have them turn the wheel. Listen to where the noise is coming from.

Here's a CP post about changing the BJ power steering. More than useful, and really well written.
