I found a KLG4 at a pick and pull down the street from my house. It has everything but the transmission on it. I know I want the vavle covers for my KLZE. What else should i take from it for my KLZE that would be good to have?

Take the whole engine !!
It has SLAs, coilpacks, newer model engine, lighter crank etc

If not, get me some parts of the engine, if you can, PM me please.

Kull, I have a set of the valvecovers... MINT, and already sandblasted...

I'm looking for a full KLG4, in good condition, with solid compression across the tables. I'm also directly in your path to wagZE's house... :freak:

I was planning to powdercoat the VCs I have, and swap them on when I find the right G4, after a gasket/timing belt/water pump swap of course.

How much would the Pick N Pull charge anyways?

ill go down there on friday and see how much they would want for the whole engine. Is this engine really that rare?

It's rarer than the other KLs, but it shouldn't be THIS hard for me to find one locally. It's ridiculous that it has been so difficult.

I see one or two a month for cheap ($400 or under complete) & always a few for under $800 up her nut its hard to fork ove that much for something that is used. Its pulliing them & transporting them that is a pita

Is there any chance you'd be able to source me one with under 100K miles and solid compression across the boards, that wasn't run on break-in oil for 50K miles? :D

I don't mind yanking it and driving to/from the yard, so long as I know the engine's a keeper before I leave my driveway. I'm getting to the point where time is starting to be an issue for me.

Thank you very much!

I don't mind doing gaskets and t-belt/waterpump, as I've got all of them already, I'd just like to avoid having to do bearings and rings for now. If I have to, I may as well shell out for machining while I'm at it, and I'm not ready for that yet.
