I'm looking for rear calipers (two sets of rears) and I don't want to pay $200/set.

Where do you guys look? rockauto and ebay are a bust.

advance/autozone maybe but unless you work in the store Im pretty sure the calipers are going to run close to $100 a pop. You are buying Mx5 MS calipers right since your replacing both? It would be a good time to upgrade

what about rebuilding some junkyard sets? im sure you have access to a sandblaster, then all the other parts can be had off rockauto for fairly cheap...
i was able to make this out of an old rusty caliper with seized slider pins...

I live in Canada, so no autozone etc. we have Napa, basically, but they overprice normal stuff, nevermind MX-3 parts.

I would do JY parts, but I'm finding it to be impossible with the cores I have. They're all totally effed.

I have a passenger rear that functions perfectly... I bought a refurbed one from RockAuto because I couldn't buy a bracket for under $78 ANYWHERE in the timeframe I had... I have until July to return the core to them, I need to find out how much the core was worth to them. I would match it for you, if you're interested.

calipers are looking to be in the $70/each range.

Does anyone know if 98 escort rear struts fit? my winter car ones are toasty. handling is not a concern, but I can get the pair from a canadian company for $70 shipped/pair. Thats 3rd gen escort. I know 2nd gen is direct bolt... not sure on 3rd. But the ZX-2 S/R is 3rd gen?

I saw some 2005 MX-5 Sports Suspension rear calipers for $60 each on eBay a week ago, dunno if they're still up. Don't bother with Partsource/Canadian Tire or NAPA, it'll be an arm and a leg and maybe a gnad. Rockauto has the Miata rears for $100, with a $37 core included.

Umm, has anyone checked out Rockauto for fronts? $15 for a front caliper, no core???? #4153058 and #4153057.
Rears are $63 no core charge. #14145515 and #14145516
Rockauto seems to be the best bet.

I'm actually doing that with some B&G springs soon. Cept I need some spring insulators to get them assembled. Seems to be right, they appear to be the same as ZX2 struts.

I bought and received them already, and they look to be the same geometry.

RockAuto is legit, I just bought NGK Laser Iridium's for the C230 the other day, with shipping more than 3 dollars a plug cheaper than anywhere else.
