'94 MX-3 1.6 DOHC.. opinions?

Post by Dark_Rider2k3 »

Here are the details:

'94 MX-3
1.6 DOHC
ATX (yeah eww.. but haven't seen a single MTX near me)
120k on body, 80k on engine
has A/C, power windows, manual seat belts, and sunroof.

Here is a pic of the car:

Now, the body is totally solid. No rust at all. Now I know you are mostly against body kits, but his was definitely done well. He is also running some nice black 16-inch wheels with brand new tires. No damage to the rims at all!

My only issues are that it's a 4 cyl ATX. And I don't like the later model seats but that's something I can easily overlook. I just don't know... MrMazda has a ZE he might sell me but I'm in this stuck situation where I need a car lol..

Do you think it's worth it? He wants 2,000 for the car btw...

ATX 4 cyl with body kit = fail.

May as well buy a Honda at that rate.

You already know where I stand on this subject, so this post is redundant :P
Now with Moderator power!

Black '93 BP RS - wrecked, parted, scrapped.
Green GS - Sold.
Black GS - Summer DD/Race car - Fancy KLZE
Red GS - K8-ATX -> MTX-KLDE - Frakencar. Scrapped
White GS - Rusty. Parts. Scrapped
1997 BMW M3 - my summer baby
2002 BMW 325Xi - sold
2003 Forester Xti - EJ20K swapped.

well I wasn't buying it for said kit. I was buying it for the clean car it was. No rust at all 8)

Also minty interior minus the missing cargo hatch cover. But I swear those are 100x more rare then the car itself!

now i know some people have claim to have done it but no one has really had good proof/worklog for swapping a 6cyl into a 4cyl, and if anything wouldn't you want to swap the other way around for the front crossmember?
i'm sure you'll at least be looking at swapping the interior harness which means you'll have to pull out the dash and such and i personally think that's a lot of work to have to do.

as the car itself, i think 2k is a lot for a 4cyl unless you plan on throwing a bp or something, but that kinda goes against not even wanting to do atx to mtx and will cost more

actually did you mean a ZE swapped car or just a ZE?
cause yeah, if mrmazda has a ZE swapped car i think you should just go that route assuming it's a good price
