auto door locks

Post by jeffs93toy »

My 93 rs came with the auto door locks, however when i first got the car they didnt work. So i put in a new fuse and they worked again, sorta. I could lock one of them and about 10 sec later the other would lock and the same with unlocking. Well only recently they stoppped working all together. Does anyone know what could be causing this and what the fix would be?

Thanks for any help provided in advance.

If its stock, its a "follow me lock"

There is a sensor in the DS, and an actuator in the PS. Make sure each one is giving/getting the proper signal and that the hardware isn't butchered/rusted to death.

If its aftermarket... same idea.

im guessing that neither one of those parts are relatively easy to get ahold of or cheap for that matter?

Where are you saing to test? Do you mean behind the door panel?
