Re: Mx3 1,8 V6 to 2,5 V6
you "can" use it but it will run like poo. at the least you would want a 2.5 mx6/626/probe ecu/airflow sensor. ideally you want a probinator chipped mx3 ecu.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

If you don't do your own research (especially on something as simple as this) you'll have a lot of questions during your swap, and it will take you forever.

Re: Mx3 1,8 V6 to 2,5 V6
Well I'm glad you're so smart.
Let me link you to a couple threads that have the answer.
ProbeTalk 2.5L FAQ:
http://forums.probetalk.com/showthread.php?t=1700964445
MX-3.com V6 FAQ:
http://www.atlantamx3.com/mocaforum/vie ... 07fecde92b
I didn't even use a search feature. It took me less than 3 minutes.
And if you STILL don't know, here, I'll spoon feed you.
Yes, you can run a KL on a K8 ECM. If you want to go that route, you also need the JE50 VAF from your MX-3, and a distributor matching the ECM (T0T57071 for 92/93, the ugly 94 style, or the T0T57271 for 95/96/97)
Next you can run a KL01 ECM from a KLDE equipped car, with a KL02 VAF, and again a matching distributor.
And then ideally you can run a KL31/36 ECM with a JE50 and a matching distributor. This is the factory setup on a ZE.
And then in a perfect world you'd just run aftermarket engine management, like Megasquirt.
Enjoy your ZE. Stomp many a Honda.

Re: Mx3 1,8 V6 to 2,5 V6
My only question, is why somebody begging for help would be using profanity(which is against forum rules, by the way) against somebody who has done nothing but offer aid. You'll find EVERYTHING you need for this swap in the threads Ryan linked to, I suggest you read for a while before you post again.Rallebabz wrote:And i Can tell you, i have bin looking for a answer in a week, and i cant find any place or anybody WHO Can tell mé that. All that much more reason you need to click the links he posted, and read EVERY thread in there. You'll answer your own questions before having to ask them, it's WAY faster than waiting for replies to a question.Rallebabz wrote:Its hard to find out what to dó SBS what i have to buy to make it work when i dont understand one thing of what he write. Re: Mx3 1,8 V6 to 2,5 V6
I'm using a 2.5l klze with stock everything besides exhaust and airbox delete. I have so little time, I haven't even put an airfilter on it (I know I'm stupid). Stock ecu, vaf, disty. I have no oxygen sensors as well. It stuttered a little at first during moderate throttle applications, but after I replaced the sparkplugs and set my timing to the highest recommended in the manual, it runs pretty darn good. Its got lots of power, spinning in 1st and 2nd under heavy throttle. No stuttering at all anymore, only thing that I notice is a small miss. That could be the cracked sparkplug boot in the #3 cylinder, lack of O2 sensors or just from running mega rich. Other then that it's great!!
I am eventually going to get a megasquirt and widebands...and airfilter. I'm going to have it dyno tuned as well.
After all of that I'll be able to say either wow...I was lacking serious power or meh..it helped a little. As far as my understanding goes i should be around the 180hp area, considering the larger exhaust and catalytic delete, oh and non restricted airflow. I guess 17 HP will be noticeable unless I'm lower then my estimation of 180.
My point is use all your stock stuff and see what happens, mine with the few tweaks I mentioned runs great, others have not been so lucky. Hope this helps, goodluck!!
