Wiring help!!

Post by Tavman_1213 »

Hey guys,
I am putting a GTX BPT into my 93 RS, I have done alot of searching before posting this. But can anyone send me the proper wiring pin outs for both the GTX BPT and the MX3 RS?? The only reason why I am posting this is because through all the searching I have done they seem to have some differences. I know this topic has been covered alot but I want to get it done right the first time cause the guy i bought this car from monkeyed with the electrical in this car. I would like to be able to rule out the wiring harness IF anything is wrong.
Thanks

I googled "BP pinout"

http://www.clubprotege.com/forum/showth ... s&p=504283

That thread has both.

The N/A BP has the same pinout as the B6 SOHC. That is why the swap is so easy.

What sort of research did you say you did? :P

Nice! the only thing not wired is the Knock sensor. Which you don't really need. I never ran it and was fine

I have already found that but what I am looking for it the pin outs for the body controls.
mx3 has 3 contectors(1 black, 2 whites) to the bpt 2 connectors(1 black, 1 white).
What i plan on doing is making a in between harness so that i am not splicing, kind of like one that you would use for an aftermarket stereo.

Those I'm less sure of. Our manuals will have the B6DE one in the 1995 Z section. I know there are differences between ATX and MTX, but I'm sure they're the same between BP and B6. Not sure about BPT (GTX).

So far about 90% of them match up, the Other 10% is an educated guess

I am hoping to have mine on the road by next spring!! The previous owner did alot of messed up things to the wiring so I want to get it in perfect running order before I put on a port and polished head with corksport racing cams on the car! It's alot more work on my part but so worth it!!
