what type of gearbox is it???

hi....i have a mx3 and i dont know what type of box it is using.... on the bell housing is a paper stamp with F505 on it.......on the housing lower down on the box has F5D2?????? :? :?

is it the F5m-r or the F25m-r????? which one???

if its the 4 cylinder then its most likely the f25m-r, the g series trans are much stronger than the f series trans if you are looking to swap then I would opt for the g series.

I believe the F25M-R was first manufactured in 94'. F5M-5 was it's predecessor.

If you can shift into reverse while still rolling without grinding it, you have a F25M-R.
If you can't, F5M-R.
