KLZE engine OBD2 code help

Post by slayer322 »

looking for some advice on some engine codes i keep getting after my ZE swap.

KLZE
KL02 VAF
The car is a '96 and OBD2, running stock wiring and ecu

im using the lower 02 sensors from the K8 as well, and not using EGR.

Codes that are on when you start the car and not move:

P1402
EGR Valve Position Sensor Circuit Fault

Codes that are on when you start the car and drive 10 feet:

P0105
MAP/BARO Circuit Malfunction

P1402
EGR Valve Position Sensor Circuit Fault

P0134
02 Sensor CKT No Activity (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

P0135
02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

P1054
02 Sensor CKT No Activity (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

P0155
02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

Now, here are the codes i get if i erase the previous codes and re-scan while the cars running and driving:

P0105
MAP/BARO Circuit Malfunction

P1402
EGR Valve Position Sensor Circuit Fault

I know the EGR code will always be there since im using an engine without the EGR installed on it, but the other ones im not sure about, i know the K8 had 4 02 sensors, so id assume some of the codes have to do with that.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

You can't use just the lower two O2 sensors because they're not O2 sensors, they're sensors to check the operation of the upper two so. You need to use the upper two (rh + lh) 02 sensors connected to their appropriate plugs, you can omit the bottom two and your fine. For the EGR most of us bolted it to the engine, connected the elecrtical plug and in my case I connected the water lines as well (too lazy to plug them). Now you won't get the EGR code.
Your 02 sensors are really important so if they aren't new consider replacing them. http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=65706" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
