How the heck do you ship a wraparound spoiler?

Post by Ryan »

I tried once, in a generous box, too big. UPS would do it, for $250.

Tried again, small as possible. Still too big! I can't make it any shorter! 54 inches is as small as it gets.

Apparently length plus girth is too much, over 114 inches... I don't know how they do that calculation, but I don't get it. Its very handleable...

Its U shaped even, not a full box.

Any pointers?

I know when I used DHL to ship (now they're just strickly international shipping I guess) I sent a box up to shameem in Ann Arbor, Michigan that the spoiler could fit in (it was that big) and it only cost $25USD to ship the box.

Besides, UPS sucks. They wanted $90USD to ship the SAME box to shameem...total rip-off.

DHL calculator gives me $435.00

The nearest dropoff is an hour and a half away from me.

Its 54x27x6 inches

18 lbs (probably less now, I modified box)

Maybe ask wytbishop? He sent a wraparound to hppwdn in Florida and it was less than $100CDN to ship it...

via truck freight, Oak harbor freight, Molerway, etc. I shipped hood to Alaska and it didn't cost me that much. Also Greyhound does shipping.

I asked greyhound, they said they don't ship to the States.

Maybe its just the dumb lady I talked to, I'll call again.
