Huh. Those look pretty cool. They'd be bad for aerodynamics, unless used with a diffuser, but almost no one that alters the rear bumper cares about that.
Nice find.

You know, they kind of remind me of the rear of a 300zx

u know the stupid thing is. since ive had my mx ive been wondering if the corolla ones like in ur pic could be custom fittedd pending on how dumb theyy may look it may be possible. itd be nice to have something that follows the flow of the oem full sides.

nvm i did think of it but theyre rather long and squared off in a sense. prob wouldnt look right.

I thought of the exact same thing, but ya, they're too square to follow with the bumper's roundish curve.

True, but take the final product with a grain of salt. The concept looked much better but the guys that installed them changed the idea, modified them and mounted them higher.

Well they are a OEM option I think, they didnt come on all the cars. The buyer would probably ask for that to be put on when they purchased. I kinda want a set of these strictly for the reason they have a exhaust cutout and will make the back seem abit lower.... HMMM, wish someone could help me out....

AFAIK those are not OEM... check out my post here from last year... it shows the whole body kit

http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=71953" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I don't like them because they don't match up in the middle... if they did I would definately get a set! I suppose I could fab something up if I was good at fabbing... maybe jesse could do it :mrgreen: :welder:

Yes I can! :D
If they're plastic, we can "plastic Weld" them. I haven't done it in a while, but it's a pretty cool technique. With this project, we'd bend a piece of plastic to the shape of the sides, and then use a soldering iron to melt zip ties on the seams. It takes a bit of getting used to, like metal welding. I've got all the stuff :wink:
