so when i had my 1.8 i put a ceramic stage 2 clutch on it. worked great. now with the klze it slipps cuz its not built for the amount of hp i got from the klze. but it still works pretty dang good. and im having a slight problem with my mx3 tranny. 1st gear is to low. i find my self having to start out in second from a stop. what would be a better tranny to run on the klze. ive herd alot about mx3 trannys. i want something geared for a higher top speed.

What tire size are you running? The MX-3 tranny has a lower gear set but that makes it better for the hole shot. :D MX-6 tranny would give you better hwy milage and a slightly lower RPM too.

If you HAVE to start from 2nd from a dead stop than there is something wrong. I'm thinking your clutch issue is affecting you more than you think. 1st is normally really short, but still somewhat useful. I only used 2nd if I was doing a rolling stop, but from a dead stop, I would use first. If your having clutch issues too, using longer gears from an Mx-6 actually would put more pressure on the clutch having less torque multiplication.

well what i mean by i have to start in second. is theres too much damn torque to start in first. i have a ceramic clutch that dose nothing but grab in first. i always spin the tires in first. not on purpose. and i got some 19in tires. on 17in crappy rims.

:welder: Moderator at work!

sounds like you have issues. 17" wheels and 19" rubber...??>...
Honestly, you bought a crappy clutch or installed something wrong when you did the motor swap.
