Hey I just bought a 95 mx-3 gs with a klze and the k8 intake manifold. It worked alright with the k8 ecu so then I tryed the kl31. It will start, rev up then die. I can keep it going with the throttle. I would appriciate any help.

It has whatever the last owner had in it. I tryed adjusting the idle and that didn't work.

How do you mean the idle-set-up does not work?

It wasn't idling so I tryed increasing the idle, and it still stalled.

Okay I just tryed the kl31 ecu again, and slowly increased the idle screw until it would idle by itself. It was idling at 4-5k and the intake sounded like it was backfiring. I set the idle down slightly and it wouln't stay running. Balls!

but it ran an idled fine with the k8 ecu? something is wrong with the ecu then.

Ya, the different should be that drastic between ECU's for idle...I agree, gotta be the ECU

Well the idle was a bit lumpy with the stock ecu

I got a new ecu kl36 and put it in. I got it to idle, but during normal driving it surges a little. Full throttle is great. Sometimes it stumbbles when taking off.

If your k8 ecu is compatible, get it probinator chipped.
