pulling engine and tranny code

Im looking to find out what the engine and tranny code is on my car.

can i be told where they are located

i have a 1993 mx3 SOHC 1.6L.

block id #s and the tranny id #

If you have a 93 rs, you have the b6me in your mx3. If that isnt what you are looking for, why do you need the code off the block and tranny? You dont need them to locate parts.
