if he says it is swapped it is probly a Bp, in that case you will find the big BP letters on the front of the block,.. and u will find bp on the side of the head by the disty.

The BP picture above is actually BP-turbo model-

For you - either somebody painted the valve color gold or you have a FE3 engine-

If you have the FE3, I'm going to be so "FE-ing" jealous.

Definitely a BP. There are a couple of different cars that these engines came out of. The most likely is a early 90's Protege. Ford Escorts & 94 and later Miata's also came with these engines.. even some Kia cars had them in them. The Miata and Escort BP engines were coil pack distributorless engines.. thats why I'd think that engine to be most likely out of a Protege.

I don't know how valuable this car is in other parts of the continent, but where I live if I got that car for $250 I would spend $2000 on the body and sell it for $4000...easy. I just bought a fairly poor GS for $2900.

Nice color and nice engine. Great find.
94' RS/GS/MS/CF Monster Turbo...coming soon.
93' GS SE, the Black Beast, the former love of my life...soon to be gutted and crushed.
94' GS, black on black, now in several small pieces...and one large crushed piece.

Tell me how you like the seats. The gs I'm picking up tomorrow is coming with a set of them and I was debating on whether I should install them. Congrats on the sweet deal.
