Recommend strong wheels for racing.
Looking for balance between weight, price, and durability. Looks aren't all that important. Not a show car, just something that'll hold up on the track. Wouldn't mind lighter color wheel, like silver or white, with thicker spokes. But if it ends up looking the opposite of that, no big deal.
Hoping for 16x7, so they're not too big, but offer lower profile tire.
Up to $200 a wheel. 14-16lbs. Nothing super light, since cheap and light usually means a sacrifice of strength.
I did look through a lot of rims on my own, but figured extra input wouldn't hurt.
TIA

light, not too expensive and good looking (imo) 16x7:
-5zigen pro racer GN+
-motegi traklite 1.0/2.0 (these have good strength as well, but slightly more expensive)
-rota slipstreams
If you have a look in the lightweight 15" rims topic, most of those are available in 16x7.

Yeah, a buddy of mine bought some Advans from rbmotoring, got proper service, and the rims are so far so good. I'm not too thrilled about used wheels, though. Even though the price is lower, who knows what kind of stress they've been through, and how much they've weakened. Cracks and bends become a greater probability. I suppose I'd have to buy forged if I am to buy used.
And yes, I hear Work wheels are of high quality and durable, even the cast ones. And usually cheaper than SSRs, though still a big ouch for the wallet.
I've kind of narrowed it down now. Final choice will be the hardest to make, though. In fact I might even go with 15”s, just to reduce the cost.
Thanks for the help, ya'll.

Do the britelites come with center caps, or does anybody have a part number for them? I ordered these rims last night, and can't wait to see them.
*edit* They don't come with center caps. The company I ordered them got back to me and told me they couldn't get them right away. Every supplier I can find is out of stock and says they're 2-6 weeks away.

So I ended up getting a set of white 15x6.5 SSR Type X. They're used JDM, but seem to be in decent condition. One piece Semi-Solid Forged, bathroom scale says around 10 lbs. They look fairly durable. Fat rubber should provide enough protective cushioning, though I'm not sure if I want to use them for city driving, since some of our streets have more potholes than road surface. I might just keep them for track use only. We'll see. If all is well, it'll be a serious improvement over the 20+lb garbage I have right now.
I'll update once my tires come in and I actually try the wheels out on some reasonable roads.
