I have 156,000 miles on my K8 at the moment. I beat the crap out of my k8 cause i have a rebuilt kl ready to drop it and the thing just wont break. I have never had to do anything more than change the valve cover gaskets to the thing and it just keeps ticking. Keep up on routine maintenance and you should hit 200,000 no problem. Valve cover gaskets, and cv axles seem to be a very common issue, neither of which are a big deal. I believe the mx3 to be an extremely well built car if in the right hands.

yes valve cover gasksts and cv shafts are common as well as distributors but only if its a 92-93. the hlas and friction gears tick and nthey can burn lots of oil. just keep it topped up it will go and go and go. Trannies and suspension is nice. 3rd gear synchro is the worst for going out, just take care of it is all i can say.

So, to summarize, a really long time
Seriously, reliability shouldn't be an issue as long as you do regular maintainance. Oil changes, plugs and wires, should last you a good long while.

There are those who claim to be street racers, and then there are those who claim the streets for themselves. I am not a street racer. I am a StreetSweeper.

Have close to 130,000 on mine and burns bout 3-4 qts. between oil changes on conventonal and 3-6 on synthetic go figure so yea a ze swap is defanatly in her very near future replaced driver side window switch twice in 2 years but other than that no complaints , Also I have had one of the 4cyl come into my shop that had been totaled 3 or 4 times with over 300,000 on original motor/car and still going. So yea if well maintaind and took very good care of will last you a very long time.
GS-ZE,fidanza fly/ 6 puck ceramic clutch,pacesetter headers/exhaust, AWR 88duro motormounts, P.R.M jetstream CAI,KYB GR-2 struts, KL31 ECU,JE-50VAF,110A Mellenia alt. S.S Corksport Clutch line.
mileage
My 1993 GS 5 speed is at 300k and counting. I just bought it last November at 297...haven't gone far and since the safety I just had to replace spark plugs because it wasn't starting in the extreme cold. Now it runs nice and starts up everytime.

On my slow K8, 182,000 miles. It burns about a quart of oil every 2500 miles. Runs fantastic! 32+ mpg!
On my fast klze 282,000 on the chassis, 100,000 on the motor. Still runs strong...
