What kind of problems should I expect at 62k miles?

Post by Juans_93_MX3 »

I am looing into buying a MTX 93 V6 MX3 with 62k miles for $2450 :D
About what time does the distributor, altenator and water pump go?
I plan on probably putting the disty from my MX3 on the new MX3 (mine is new).

One last question, I remember my car had sometime of Fuel pump problem. Its when the RPMs drop and the car shuts off (I think). Anyone know anything about that?
Easy problem to fix?

Manual says change the timing belt @ 60K, if it hasnt been done already. Only 62K should be ok, but its 13 years old. If you plan on changing, may as well get the waterpump changed. Id deffinatley do an oil change and radiator flush being that its new to you. You dont know the history of the car, so you may as well get the general maintenance done. Maybe a tuneup too.
