Rear Wheel Lock up question

Post by Blazianenigma »

I just picked up a 93 MX-3 MT.
The car was sitting for a little while (7 months)
and the rear wheels are locked.
When the ebrake engaged/disengaged the wheels dont move at all.
Forward or Reverse movement is not available.
Any ideas other than taking the wheels off and the drums?

get someone to bang on the wheel with a large hammer while you drive it ahead. once you get it rolling take it up to 60ish and do some braking. your problem is rust on the surface of the rotors/drums

Fixed th Problem.
Took off the rear wheels...and banged the drums with a hammer.
Loosened up the rust and the wheels spin freely now.
