high idle for no reason

hmm i was driving and all of thw sudden the car idles at almost 3k rpms, looked for vacum leaks..none... checled the tb idle screw..completely closed..checked cai piping..all sealed// wth o.0 I am so lost... I push the tb a bit back and it lowers the idle a bit but goes up. The tb is new and is smooth the cable is completely loose.
ill try to work on it tomorrow.

quite possibly/probably your distributor (think i suggested it to you on another thread)

Did you check the TPS?

\Ok..for some reason that little scre on top of the fly itself (straight neck) must have moved but well this is what I did, put the car in test mode, readjusted the disty (lowered timing a notch on disty) Readjusted tps, and readjusted idle screw.Also i loosened the top bolt on the butterfly (curved neck does not have it) and now it idles ok.. just that it will idle like 100 rpms more then down up , down and so on. Car runs normal. Next thing on todays agenta...repace transmission passenger side seal :S shouldnt that THAT hard.
I still dont understand why one second will idle right then the next idle supoer hard and require all the adjustments i did..
