tranny sensors

Post by masterklze »

on the 5 speed tranny on the 1.8 v6
my question, there is 2 sensors on the tranny, the one by the filler hole, and the one by the drain plug, what is the one by the drain plug, because the wires are broken off.... and they are both wires going to the sensor are both green, with no other indication so i dont know how to re-wire it....

i am assuming its the revers lights?

There are 3 sensors that i can think of:

1) Reverse Light Sensor - By the oil fill plug...actually right below it.

2) Vehicle Speed Sensor - On the top of the tranny..back by the differential

3) Nuetral Switch - On the bottom of the differential underneath the VSS
