Hello,

I have a 1.5 b5 engined az3, chassis ec5sa.
I'm looking for info on an engine swap. Is there a larger engine that would fit straight in or is it going to be more hassel than it's worth.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
Any more info on whats involved. Is it just a straight swap or do you have to do a few alterations, or change anything, eg gearbox, cv joints exhaust, wiring loom, suspension.
What mazdas have the 1.8bpt

you can use your gearbox (fseries) dont abuse it i am using mine still its been a few months nothing broke, you will eventually nees a gseries box. the engine comes from a gtx mazda 323, you need the ecu, i used the gtx engine harness and ecu just had to get the fuel pump wire switched you need a fmic anything else look on the site there is lots of info, if u dont get the answers u want just let me know

It would fit.

You would have to find the wiring harness, axles, tranny, all mounts from a V6 powered az-3.

I might forget some items, but it gives you an idea. In Canada it's a pretty common swap.
