I believe the stock bulb behind the amber lense is a clear 1157 bulb. No need for amber behind amber.

Yup, when installing my clear sig housings, stock amber housings had clear 1157 bulbs. Replaced w/Sliverstar amber 1157 bulbs altho any amber 1157 will do.

Silverstar 1157 you say...hhmmmmm?? Never seen an 1157 Silverstar let alone an amber Silverstar. How do they compare to generic bulb?

Cost is outrageous @ $20 USD/pair. Sylvania P/N is <1157A ST>. Picked em up at Advance Auto Parts on sale for $15. Love em. Nice JDM amber at night and more of a distinctive amber/white in daytime. (I drive 100% w/headlights/pking lts. on - crazy azz cell phone drivers!) Lights off have a metallic blue "Silverstar" look behind the clear sig lenses. Worth the $ if they last. Installed mine Nov. 04 so too soon to tell. http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProduct ... efault.htm

Thanks for that neutral. I don't suppose you asked for a non-sylvania made silverstar? I'll have to try the local Napa Auto....dohhh, it's the long weekend...gotta wait.

Before getting the Syl. ss 1157 amber sig bulbs, like an idiot, I did order a pair of "chrome amber 1157 bulbs" from an ebay seller for ~$10 USD shipped. DOH! Those things were totally useless and dangerous. They did light up, but with a just-barely-visible brightness. Looked good turned off though but WTH good is that?
