courtesy lights, beeping

halfway through the winter, my courtesy lights and beeping quit. my drivers side belt is a little delayed, it starts moving about 5 seconds after i shut my door. my dome light never turns on when i open my doors, and it doesn’t beep if i leave my keys in the ignition or when i leave my headlights on. it is not the seatbelt control box, because i swapped my friends in, and there was no change. i also had my drivers side belt assembly/motor replaced about a month ago. has anybody had this problem or does anybody know what the problem might be?

I don't know if this is your problem, but I live on a dirt road and found out that the door switch was dirty. All you have to do is locate the switch inside the door jam, remove the phillips screw holding it to the car pull the switch out just enough to see the spring and spray cleaner (B12 Chemtool) on the switch and work the switch a couple of times and re-install switch. Check to see if that is causing the problem first. It is cheap and simple to do.
