JDM Tail Lights

This forum is for discussion of topics relating to MX-3 lighting such as Headlights, Tail lights, Accessory Lights, Interior Lights, Etc. For example, Rear Euro Altezza Style Tail lights, Headlight units, LED's, HID's, Bulbs, Interior lights, Neons, Strobes, Auxillary Lights/Fogs or anything filament and gas discharge related.
Also anything dealing with the elctrical system.

JDM Tail Lights

Does anyone know where I can find a set of the JDM Tail Lights? I saw a set and they look real good.
I was thinking about taking them apart and painting the dark parts to match the color of the car.
First thing I gotta do is find a pair.
They look like this:

you can get those off ebay just look for mx3 altezza and you'll find them.

Noticed a pair of used ones listed for $10 starting bid at link below. Says they're in good shape but one leaks a bit. No prob tho if you're gonna take em apart for painting anyway. Might be worth watching...

are they really jdm? all the almost all the altezza ones seem claim that they are JDM i thought altezza was european.

That's a chicken and egg question.

I think it comes down to whether IS300 is called an altezza because it has those lights or the lights are called altezza 'cuz the IS300 has them...then why are they referred as euro style? Been confusing me for quite a while. :)

ANY Altezza style tail light you see for the MX-3 is NOT JDM.

The Tail lights that came stock on your car are the same style as the JDM ones. (Although I think the JDM ones had a "foglight" in one of the back-up lights... but you shouldnt be able to tell that from the outside.)

Thats just EBAY Jargon calling them JDM or Euro tail lights.

i wish our stock lights were like the rx7's.. how the JDM versions had round balls in the middle instead of blocks. that would be cooler haha.. but o well altezzas are cool. and btw dont they come from taiwan? :freak:
