engine warning light
engine warning light
What does the engine warning light indicate? It isn't the constantly flashing type, it will come on for a few minutes every hour or so. Called the dealer and they said it can be driven but if I wanted them to look at it, just bring it in. So, it seems that it isn't serious. It showed itself after I put on an aftermarket intake and played with the timing.

Re: engine warning light
you might not have hooked the intake correctly there is a small hose oy need to hook up as well
the code will probly show up as a intake leak
Re: engine warning light
Recentely my car has been doing that too. The light comes on... but not all the time. I think it has something to do with the intake as well.... because before the light came on... the last thing I fixed up a bit was my intake. Although... I still can't pinpoint the problem.

Re: engine warning light
it may not always be the intake. It may be a silent but deadly problem. It cost me 65 dollars for a diagnostic check. It could be a knock sensor gone bad. At worst cases it sounds like marbles rattling in the engine, mines is still silent but it has to be fixed before the engine gets damaged by it. its about a 300 dollar job. the whole intake manifold has to come off. Your paying mostly for labor. My light usually flashes when i hit a lot of bumps or just comes once in a blue moon. Keep the knock sensor in mind.
-eD
------------------
Edgar Paredes
