Marlon, why would this post get deleted?? I try to return emails as often as possible, but in the case of the group buy, Jeff is the person that should be contacted until it has been officially completed.
Seneca (Tyson), Im sorry to hear about the problems you have encountered with your hood. As everyone knows, this buy is taking longer than any of us has expected and hoped for. I for one am also waiting for an Inverted hood.
I hope that this hood is the only case of poor craftmanship, although I have seen some in person and know for a fact that they should be exceptional in quality.
Dust particles is difficult to deal with, especially with carbon fiber hoods. everything is very visible.
I have spoken with the production team and have addressed these problems to them (Saturday Morning) I was ensured that extreme care would be taken with the rest of them.
I have tried to hurry this buy as much as possible. Everyone should be aware that when things get rushed, mistakes happen.
In terms of the latch. On one of the prototypes, this had happened to me also. It seems that someone was sleeping when they were putting them on.

this is the second time im experienceing bad latch assembly.
All in all, i dont want to assume anything yet. I would like to see wht the outcome is for the next batch.
any updates will be posted as usual in the group buy forum.
The inverted scoop prototype was tested on Friday and was a "success" in terms of centering, alignment, and location. It clears the front cylinder bank (V6) and finishes before the rad support (YES!!!) One minor problem is that it slightly hits the oil cap, and i do mean slightly.
This problem will be taken care of by raising the inverted part by 6-7 mm. In the end, non-significant.
The inverted is still a means away from completion, but this was not a simple task to begin with given our engine bay and the design of the scoop.
I will have some more pics of the hood installed on my car, but they are still in the rough stages.
