What spring rate would you consider "not bumpy"?

(you're asking a subjective question)

Keep in mind that ALL lowering springs HAVE TO INCREASE the spring rate, so that your car doesn't ride on the bumpstops.

define "smooth"

"smooth" as i would define it is controlled by the dampers, not the springs.

Intraxx still has increased rates from stock, so i have no idea how you're going to back that up.

yea.. i'll see about dampners.. because lowering springs should be bumpy and stiff no matter what huh? lol and if its not bumpy, it would probably be bottoming out all the time cuz its bouncy. i'm just looking for the smoothest ride possible, with a lowered suspension. i dont care about spring rate or anything.. just curious if anybodyz got info. in "smooth" i mean no getting air off a small dent in the road. ;) thanx

My Intrax aren't bad, but they're still pretty stiff, I'm trying to get softer struts. Others with the Intrax say theirs are just as good as stock (which sucks in the first place), however my car sits lower than them for some reason.
Eibach would be soft, but you can't really tell its lowered.
Intrax is a good choice. Especially if the streets aren't bad in your city.

I could've told you that those dropzones would ride like a$$. Get ground-controls. I have a set on my car wth zx2 struts and they ride damn nice.

big rims + any lowering springs + old stock shocks= supper bumpy and harsh ride.

15 inch rims with 205/55/15 tire + eibach or H&R 1 inch lowering springs + ZX2 S/R shocks = almost perfect ride with approx 1.5 in drop.

No, If you actually DID care you'd be willing to spend the money on quality.

Tell me exactly why you bought the dropzones in the first place? We all know "because they were cheaper", so don't deny it. And they've been talked about time and time again as having generic springrates, that are not tuned for each application.

My dropzones are 300 up front, and 250 in the rear. I have ZX2 SR tokico struts and compared to my Protege with Sprint lowering springs, and the same struts, they smooth away the bumps more effectively, and I don't bottom out either.

If you want a good ride, invest in some good springs, good struts and call it a day...otherwise put your stock suspension on because you won't get it by buying crappy quality parts.
