MX3 question

Post by simon_brown75 »

Firstly I'm new here so hi everyone :)

I'm strongly considering an MX3 1.8 V6 for my next car (to replace my 306), either a UK car (I'm in the north of England) or a japanese import. I've seen some amazing looking pictures of MX3s but when I look at MX3s that are actually on sale - they don't look anything like as good.

Basically what I want to know is - does this MX3 (see piccy below) look so good because it's modified in some way? Seems to me that maybe the front and rear bumpers aren't standard.

I'm really struggling to find one for sale that looks this good. This is just a picture I found on the net btw.

Thanks in advance,
Simon.

Well, obviously, that is not an American car, so I'm not too sure on the answer to your question. It looks similar to an Erebuni bumper, but I don't think it is. It's very close to stock, but over here they don't come with fog lights; it looks a little different.
Mx-3's are very stylish, even stock, as long as they have a good paint job. Like you said, most of them that are for sale are in terrible condition, but that's what most of us have to start with. Your best plan would be to find a clean car that runs well, unless you're gonna perform an engine swap, get a kit for it, and get some good paint slapped on. Good luck! Hopefully we'll see you on here more often soon!

Yeah that looks like a custom lip or something on the front. Other than that and the tinted signals, that one is pretty much stock. It all depends on what you can find. When I got mine it was fresh to the lot, I even had to clean all of the previous owners fast food bags out of the back seat. Good luck and hope to here more from ya!

edit: Oh and just out of curiosity, does anyone know where that lip could be bought if it even can?

Btw here's that car from the rear, versus one I found for sale. So apart from the tinted lights and different rear bumper and front lip, that one on the left is standard? The one on the left hasn't been lowered has it?

The one on the right isn't the one I'm thinking of buying btw, that's in black.

They both look stock but of slightly different variations. Not sure what the Euro versions looked like stock. But A) the front looks so incredibly close to the stock U.S. versions that I wouldn't believe someone would make an aftermarket version so mildly different and B) I've never seen aftermarket rear bumpers include provisions for mud guards.

the front bumper looks like a MazdaSpeed, but then again it resembles the north american MazdaSpeed kit, I'm not sure if theres one on your side of the world thats different. if not it could very well be the MazdaSpeed, either way goodluck.

Simon,
As someone told before, this is a STOCK euro MX-3 with a front and a rear lips molded to the car.
Foglights are stock, skirts and mudguards are stock and it is not lowered.
