Post by Johnomx3 »

Just wondering if i can even be done, and what the expected HP would be by turboing a 92 RS sohc? lol stock 88 hp just wondering what it could get up to with an engine rebuild and turbo? Thanks.. also what all would be needed to make it turbo?

The gains are minor but it gives you a excellent platform to build on.

I dont know what type of resutls to expect overall though. =]

Hey, yes the sohc 1.6l can be turbo'ed. My turbo setup has been running for ~2 years now, and the engine actually seems to run better since going turbo. Now, I am no mechanic and as such did not do the work myself, but going from an auto 88hp stock to a 5spd tranny swap and stock engine pushing 8.5 psi it is alot more fun to drive :)
