Interior re-upholstering

Post by Jon_Carnie »

i was wondering what shops people from around here have gotten their door panels and seats re-upholstered at. I am from chatham, ontario, so anywhere up to the toronto area. my interior is all ripped apart and ready to be done, i just have to find a shop to do it, none really around chatham...

Yeah I think everyone would like to know that. I've only met one other person with an MX-3 here in GA and have only seen 2 others ever! It seems like all of ours are pretty beat up. So, I haven't found one in my area quite yet and if I did I bet they'd probably be pretty pricy. *bleh* Why are all the parts I need only available from people in Canada?! lol

well, I had mine redone. Seats that is, at a place called goldstar in hamilton. I pick my door panels and back panels up tomorrow, they were done at a place in markham, ON. I haven't posted any pics yet, because I wanted only the finished product to be seen. Right now my doors are ugly and bare metal. anyway...

well. The quality is amazing to say the least. the door panels and back panels were 75 dollars each. The place I got these done at is in markham. I can't think of the name, but I have a business card somewhere.

The seats (2 front seats and back seats) were 700 dollars (everything included)- these were done at goldstar in hamilton. The quality of there seats are amazing. They have been in business for 75 years! Seats took 5 days.

I will have pics in a few days. I put the door panels in - they look sweet but the colour is a shade or two off from the seats - I had to order super stretch material and tried to match the colour as best as I could. Im putting the back panels in thursday and taking pics too.

The material I used for the seats is a synthetic leather. Extremely durable and has a nice texture and feel- also the finish is a dull finish. I hate shiny seats... If you want to get the seats done in real leather your looking at 1800 dollars!
