stroker kit for KL-ZE

Post by wkdmx3gsr »

I want to keep my stock 10:1 compression but want a stronger piston and rods. anyone know where i can get a hold of some? or a link that sells them.
Im porting and polishing the heads now and i bought the 280 degree cams from a company out of new york. I also have an stronger valve springs, external msd upgrade, aftermarket headers, 9lb flywheel and a six puck race clutch, plan on buying the Quafe LSD also. Car will be running at least a 100 shot direct port wet sponsered by nitrous express all computer controlled by a palm pilot. ran 12.8 at 110 mph in the 1/4 this year. not bad if i say so with a 75 dry shot on bald drag radials. any help would be greatly appreciated.

yup cyborgzerp offers pistons and rods for 1300$..I bought them a week ago..I can send you pics when I'll receive them...by the way it's not called a stroker kit..A stroker kit gives you a longer stroke..the pistons offered by cyborgzero are 0.020" overbore making your car a 2.6L. you are looking for forged internals and not a stroker kit

yes it was usd ...I I reallly doubt you can get custom pistons from JE for under 700usd and same with the rods..ANd you don't have the pistons rings wrist pins ans bearings...
I checked with ross pistons and IIRC they were charging me 800usd for customs pistons..
remember we have 6 pistons :) not 4 like the other guys (honda, talon, etc.)

cyborgzero is the only one that makes forged internal stuff..

anyways I still think that 1300usd for full forged internals parts are good

the pistons are made by Wiseco and are made with 4340 forged chromoly..they are lighter than stock too.
the rods are made by Scat and they are shotpeened

Millinea S rods with Wiseco pistons. This is a common setup for people on PT with FI.

Not to take away from Cyborgzero but, lets just say that their IM that was "ready to ship" has taken them 7 months. And nobody has yet to see one. Good luck Babyblue. Just a little heads up.

yeah it's true..I jungled with the idea..but nobody knows how much pressure can take the S rods..yeah they are beefer but are still stock rods..the good side of this is you can have forged internals for 900usd$..I didn't took a chance and bought the kit offered by czt..I dind't mind spending the extra 400$ and I'm sure to have some quality stuff
