3 little hoses near intake

Post by YellowSnow »

Alright this might seem like a really stupid question but...I recently put in a Active intake which hooked right up to the what I think is the sensor that says Mazda on it. Anyways, I had to take 3 small hoses off the stock filter box, now where do these go now? I noticed that one is sucking in air and the other 2 don't seem to be doing anything. So do I need to buy one of those small air filters and put it on the end of the one that's sucking in air?<BR>Thanks..

there are two that goes on the intake hose, but I don't think there are any that went to that box there is one on the bottom right about 1" diameter but you don't need it. (sorry if I'm incorrect but it's been a while when I had that box)

the "sucking air" one should go on a vacuum nipple on the intake you installed just after the sensor you were referring to.

Alright heres what I think your talking about. Theres 3 little hoses and Im pretty sure 2 of them were connected to a little piece called an egr valve which was bolted onto the stock intake box. The hose sucking air goes into that egr valve and one of the other ones does. The third one Ive just left sitting in the engine bay(prolly not smart but have no idea where it goes). If you dont have those hoses connected correctly your engine light should be on. Good luck if you have any more questions ask and Ill try to answer them better

theyre supposed to be connected to the egr valve where they originally were before you removed them from the stock intake box.
