shift "click"

Post by gueedo »

I've noticed in movies such as 2Fast2Furious and The Last Race (mildly good fictional independent street racing film) that when they shift gears you can hear a click from the shift stick...I dunno any better way to describe it. Almost like metal on metal. I was wondering how you can get that sound. Just curious if anyone knows.

its fictional just like rest of the movie, and floor pan "bursting off" lmao, honda boys really screwed this movie up, but you can hear your tranny shift if your car is somewhat quiet and you roll down windows...but not as loud as in Ricer & Ricier

D4NG3R TO MNIFOLD!!!!!111!!!<p>LOL. Yeah...even though I make fun of it, I like the way the hydrolic click sounds when they shift. Rice and Ricier really did a huge disservice to the import crowd. Now everybody thinks that tuners are idiots because there are a bunch of kids running around saying that they can run 10s in their civics thanks to the Type R sticker, intake, and coffee-can exhaust...

yes I really hate how Hot rodders think of every import car as ricer, personally theres not a thing about my mx3 that is ricy..no stickers at all, etc. and I dont brag its very fast car..and I really love hot rods..I have a couple of my own projects.

My friends 2001 z28 Camaro makes that sound actually. I dont know why but it sounds really nice when he shifts. Atleast it did on his stock shifter, we installed a short shifter for it and I dont think it does it anymore.
