Re: bill 241 passed?
I did a search and found this:
http://www.torontostar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentServer?pagename=thestar/Layout/Article_Type1&c=Article&cid=1035779645466&call_page=TS_Columnists&call_pageid=970599109774&call_pagepath= Columnists

quote:
Speaking of Bill 241, I'm happy to report that this ridiculous piece of legislation died on the order paper when the Legislature was adjourned. Since Premier Ernie Eves seems content to rule for the rest of his term strictly by TV, it's probably going to stay dead.

Another quote from another website

quote:
One of Canada's most restictive pieces of legislation HAS DIED,Bill 241 is History--It will most likely resurface again in a different format however, the NAAACCC has had meaningful corrspondance with it's Ontario Government contacts including the Ministers offices. Our submissions were well recieved and our working relationship with the Ontario Government is on solid ground. Thank you all for your support and hard work.

Im glad it didnt pass (if that quote is indeed true). Even the Porsche Blub Of America - Upper Canada Region posted people to sign the online petition
All i have to say is BRING ON THE KLZE!

I like this quote:

quote:
A law like this cannot, and does not work. The Government needs to hear that you will not stand for misguided legislation the likes of the Federal Gun Registry fiasco again. The federal law proved in 2002 that while burdening taxpayers and gun owners, the firearm murder rate went up in Toronto. We don't need another law like that!

[ April 28, 2003: Message edited by: Nd4SpdSe ]
