z max anyone??

anyone ever heard anything about z max?? my friend said it's just colored mineral oil and that the govt is going after it for being a big hoax. i was just really really curious...cos if it DOES work that'd be neat. <p>

I've actually heard nothing but good things about it. I am planning on putting it in my car, just havn't gotten around to it. If I get it in soon, I will let you know.

really?? cos i haven't heard ANYTHING at all about it. that's the part that kinda makes me nervous. which is why i put up the post. wouldn't you figure that if zmax really did work that there would be a lot of publicity about it? or at least word of mouth...especially with the war in iraq and blah blah blah. so anyway im trying to do some research here and so far i've found this:<p>

i always thought it was good since they advertised it but then i read that all these engine additives are just scam, some use coating that u use on ur frying pan (teflon) and when it burns it will seize ur engine. only good thing i know of is good synthetic oils, Mobil 1 if u can afford it.

well, if the FAA backs it then I pretty much trust them. Cuz if you have a problem 5 miles in the air......you are pretty much in serious trouble. I'll let you know tho

zMAX helps to reduce engine wear on engine valve-stems and guides and piston rings and skirts, by virtue of reducing engine deposits,

i guess i am gonna try it, as they say more you pay more you get, its like $3o here, so i guess it should work some, gonna try it on my k08 then let you guys know results/improvements
