Car Etiquite

Post by Mastirmynd »

Some friends and i were discussing car etiquite earlier while playing pool, you know just stuff like, never lift another mans hood, ask before smoking in his car, dont mess with his cd player without asking, things like that. What do you all think, what are your dos and donts of proper vehicle manners?

wipe your feet, no smoking, easy with the doors, touch the stereo all you want, just take it easy i guess. My girlfriend who i love very much tries her best but always manages to make my car dirty or something. Leaves her empty lunch stuff in the back seat, gives me those puppy dog eyes and says "can i have a smoke?", gets scuff marks all over the door, geez the list goes on" :p

Basically ask before doing anything. ;) :p I'd also add:
Don't lean against someone else's car
NEVER put your feet on their paint
Keep the windows rolled up unless asked, or you ask otherwise.
Move the seat back to original position when exiting car, especially if you are driving. (catch my g/f on this all the time)
Don't talk on a cell phone in their car. (one of my biggest pet peeves)
One of my friends has a bag in his glove box because he makes you take off your shoes and put them in there.

dont ever lean on a car, it may not leave a noticable dent but over time the metal warps.
ever see those old hondas and ford mustangs and the side of the car is all wavey, thats from people leaning on them.
leaning on my car is punishable by an ice pick in the eye.

Don't slam the doooooor!!! people always mess with my stereo, then when I complain they claim the volume needed to go down due to a "headache" yeah freakin right!! wipe your feet, no shoes on the seats, no feet on the dash, don't touch the glass (unless its your boobies, yes that has happened) please no fingerprints on the clear coat, and keep your pets claws away from the car.
