I was driving.. on my way home from work on the free way when all of a sudden there was a huge metal grinding/ clicnk noise!!! i had my tornado system pumping so i could stay ahead of him as i was winning by about 4 inches and i think it blew my engine!!! but there is no oil leaks ad it starts but makes this metal noise when i ev/drive so i am scared to drive...any ideas!! please help. Guys if u want my advice don't use forced induction..i just paid the price, anbd 48 hp and 28ft.lb of torque from a tornado was not worth the loss of my cart for a few days!!<p>[ July 25, 2002: Message edited by: Custommx3 ]

I hear tornado and I think of those crappy advertisements on tv. Then I'm thinking maybe you mean a turbo.<P>First of all, if it is a turbo, edit this post and put it in the Forced Induction forum. Be sure to leave out that stuff about racing on the highway while you're at it. Next time just say you were at a track and this happened, okay.<P>If it is a crappy tornado system then sue the crap out of those people because they say it can never do any damage. If you have a turbo I'd get it taken off an torn apart to find out what the problem is. If you're running high boost for a long time, like I suspect you were, then you may have messed up the blades or maybe you floated your valves which means you should under no circumstances drive it until someone tears apart your engine and fixes all the expensive pieces you just broke.
