94 protege tranny in 92 mx3 possible?

94 protege tranny in 92 mx3 possible?
This is kinda a double post , but just in case none looked at the other one , i need a tranny for a 92 auto mx3 with the 1.6 sohc , now i found a 94 protege with what looks like the same exact engine but i think it might be a 1.8 sohc instead its from a 94 protege dx automatic, would that engine/ tranny bolt to my 92 mx3 or just the tranny to my engine? If so i am gettin both cars and fix it and have a nice mx3, let me know thanks guys
