Back-up lights

My back up lights don't work. I checked the bulbs ant the wires at the back but don't know where to look after that....

Mine had a dead switch. Check that.

there is no fuses but where is the switch?

The backup lights get their power through the "backup" switch located on the tranny. Check the electrical system diagram posted in the shop manual available on this web site for details. I had the same problem. It was a little corrosion on the wire connector that attached to the switch. Perhaps the same problem affects your MX-3. Hope this helps.

When you are standing in front of the car, look down past the radiator in the direction of the engine/tranny. About 12 inches (guessing)right of center of the car on the front side of the tranny is the backup switch.<P>Hope this gets you in the general area and perhaps it's only a loose wire or such.<P>Stan

Thanks I found a ground wire that was disconnected...
