R.P.M. problem

Post by mx3man18 »

I have a 94' mx-3 I-4 stock. When I am at a stop light I notice the R.P.M.'s bouncing up and down from 500 to 2000. It usually occurs after I take the r.p.m.'s up higher usually around red line, and now it's a non stop problem. There are 86,000 miles on it. If anyone has a suggestion to what the promblem is or might be give me a halla. Thank's mx3man18!<p>[ May 10, 2002: Message edited by: gorman ]

My first suggest would to be check teh car for vaccum leaks. Can be done typically with spraying near vaccumlines with some form of combustable chemical as its sprayed near the lines if the engine revs up some then there is a leak
-torp.
I don't own a Mazda.
