Blown Tranny???

After pulling out of a parking lot two days ago my 1992 1.6L standard tranny mx started making a horrible popping noise which sounded as if it was coming from the right drive axel. Everytime I turn and give the car any gas it pops and jumps now. Sound almost as if the splines in the Tranny are not hooking up all the time. The kicker is that when I give the car power going forward this dosen't happen unless I get on it. I have already replaced the right side drive axel (that damn nut was a pain in the a-- to get off, but I finally cut that little bastard off)Anyone else have a similar problem.<BR> Thanks

i'd say your axle is shot......take it in and get it checked out.....good luck man

CV joint would be my guess
