air intake question

alright guys, i'm new to this but i'm catching on. i've got a 92 mx-3 rs and somebody on here said that the prm air intake kit for a ford escort will fit. now here's the question... procarparts has a kit for a 91-96 ford escort for $100 less than the prm, will that fit too? also, if it does, is it worth the money saved? thanks in advance for your answers. also- anybody have any info on puttin on the daytime running lights that mx-3's had in japan? i was hoping that you could just unplug the harness from the car and install it on one of ours but i doubt it will work that easy.
