Strut bar?!

Post by Shades »

Hey people,
Just wondering who has strut bar? Front? Rear?... I saw it once that someone had a rear strut bar, or maybe it was a sway bar?!
Do you notice a difference when driving around corners?
Is it easy to install yourself? What would I need?
Anyone ever bought a front strut bar off eBay? I saw one a while ago?
Are there different kinds/makes? Which one is better, if there are?
I'd like to thank whomever in advance for answering my questions.

I have the front strut bar. I have one I special ordered from Nakayama Racing Sports.
What a strut bar actualy does is her reduce body flex. And yes, it makes a difference you can tell, esp around corners. The rear strut bar does the same thing. Its very simple to install. You just remove your strut's nuts (yes I know) on the top of them under your hood. Place it on the bolts and put the nuts back on. Thats it. Tighten it as neccessary. All you will need is a socket set. They are all basically the same, but remember, some motor swaps will prevent you from using one. www.corksport.com sells the FASTCO brand (I think they call it the corksport brand) which is very similar to mine. Its a realtively inexpensive mod for the handing improvement.

I have both the front and rear strut tower bars, I got them both off of Ebay. You need a hacksaw if you're going to get the rear strut tower bar. You have to cut some metal pieces and some plastic as well. Check the corksport website, they have a full description of it.
