V6 tranny

i'm deciding between a tranny rebuild/replacement:<P>- my car has 111k miles, 1st and 2nd gear syncros are kinda funky...not sure about the rest of the tranny<BR>- plan on dropping in 2.5L by the end of the year, not sure if tranny can take anymore<BR>- wat are the costs/benefits/downsides of rebuilding/replacing the tranny?<P>thanks
