Well it looks like I will be taking over the reigns on hotel <BR>reservations for this years show. Talking to Vaughn today I sadly <BR>found out that him and Lisa will not be making it this year. Both of <BR>your presences will definitely missed, it won't be the same without <BR>you two. Well for all that are planning to go, I'm going to try to <BR>get some kind of group discount or plan get all the rooms at the same <BR>hotel. So anyone that needs a room let me know ASAP. I need to know <BR>which nights (Friday & Saturday, or just Saturday) and if you need <BR>one or two beds.<P>Email off the list at m r e 1 2 4 @ p s u . e d u<BR>We need to act soon because hotels are filling up fast and we want to <BR>get as close to the fairgrounds as we can because we all know how bad <BR>it sucks to sit in traffic for 2 hours to go to 2 miles. Not all our cars are <BR>Fast and the Furious material. We have totally stock MX-3's show up <BR>not even washed and come home with trophies. I even brought my car <BR>last year after wrecking it the night before. So please bring your MX-<BR>3 and yourself because it's a great time to meet a bunch of great <BR>people and spend time talking about our beloved cars. Hope to see you <BR>all there.

Well here is the story.....<P> Because this is a car show weekend no hotel will pay any travel agent a<BR>commission because they know they will fill up the rooms no matter what.<BR>The best deal that I found (through a travel agent actually) with the lowest price<BR>per room and the closest to the fairgrounds was the Ramada Limited (2 miles<BR>away!). There is a two night minimum so if you just need one night I can't help<BR>you there.<P> $79 a night with Single King Size Bed and 2 occupants that is with/without<BR>smoking. It is more to add more people to the room.<P> $89 a night with 2 Queen Size Beds (not 100% if they are queen size)<BR>Same price with/without smoking. It is also more to add more people to the room<BR>other than 2.<P>Because we only had 8 rooms total we could not get any group discount. I also<BR>could not get our rooms in a block unless I paid the deposit on all of them. So<BR>basically if you want a room you must call this toll free no. 866-757-4373 or<BR>717-243-8585, which is not toll free. If you need to cancel your reservation you must<BR>do it by 6pm May 3 or pay the full fee of your room.<P>If I were any of you, I would call IMMEDIATELY to get your room because they are<BR>filling up fast! I'm sorry I couldn't get the same prices as Vaughn last year but<BR>I think we waited a little longer this year because I didn't know Vaughn wasn't<BR>going and the size of this show is really growing. If your not happy with these<BR>prices you can see if you can find them cheaper, but you will be farther away<BR>from the fairgrounds. I won't care if you stay at another hotel.
